Real Love-Mary J Blige

how great it is to be alive today.
the scorching heat, the piled up work, the pleasure to be in the company of good people.
the fresh fruits and juices, the giggling school children and those friendly strangers.

but i'm growing a lil weak,my head feel light & the throat a bit odd,i don't wish to fall ill, especially during this busy period of the year.

my dad was admitted into the hospital earlier this week, had respiratory complications and was rushed to A&E on the ambulance in the wee hours of the morning,my mom was by his side all the way,and finally today, after days of pain & discomfort, restrained from leaving the bed with fall precaution monitored by nurses,he's finally allowed to be discharged.i wish i could be there, but i am required here, been running rehearsals for the rally tomorrow since morning, and i felt bad, honestly.
and it's been quite tensed for myself, rushing to see dad at the hospital, and hopped to another to visit minerva's uncle.and the hospital 4 visitors at a time rule made it more challenging, but i beat that anyway, using methods seen on the action flicks and tv series..

it's labour day tomorrow and while everybody will seize the opportunity to do whatever that they like without worrying about the problems at work,me and my colleagues have to report to work at 6.30am,it's part of the job,and we all understand that, and it's ok as we're compensated with a rest day the following day.and i can't wait for sunday-it's rowing session again!

Welcome To My Life-Simple Plan

it's the start of a hellish week with children's day special happening sometime midweek and the beginning of back to back major and important events happening all the way till sunday.it's been sometime since we last had crazy time, rushing, planning & preparing for stuffs and additional manpower to help us run the mad week.

and happy belated, sweet 27th birthday to my beloved angel who celebrated her birthday last saturday where we had a lovely Thai buffet dinner and jolly bumped onto el nazir and heedaya and a good unplanned strobist action soon followed at some quiet shophouses at novena.how lucky that we had our cams along that evening.

and it was the hot F1 weekend where we all witnessed lewis hamilton popped the champagne as he won the night race at marina bay last sunday.glued to the tv,me and my family watched from start all the way to the end, enjoying every single second with each other's company watching every single fast and furious dizzy bits of bends and turns.

and so after about a month of my disappearance from the gym, today i returned during my lunchbreak with murad-and running on the treadmill felt rather slow and weird-and to my shocking suprise-with eyes real wide-i weighed myself before departing from the place-80 kilos-Whoa!now that's what sweet stuffs and tasty oily food will do to your body-a horror.i was so determined i could lose some fats off,i got on the phone immediately and told minerva, i'm back to my 'wholemeal bread' diet again.so goodbye m&m's,sarsi, pineapple tarts and starchy rice. to the gym again tomorrow!

Check Yo Self-Ice Cube

after days of being away from work,i've finally returned, with heavy feet and to much of my reluctance,my faint desire & completely unmotivated to W-O-R-K.
it was hot-midday hot and almost impossible to go out without a pair of tinted shades-i wore a white tee,i rarely put on a white tee but earlier today was exceptional,i don't wanna be drenched in sweat after zipping across several kilometres to my workplace, but anyway,i did sweat but at least the white tee helps and i'll be kickin' myself if i were to put on a black one instead.and to go along i wore my leopard print berms and stan smith, now that don't look like i was goin to work, but yeah that's what i wore.and so i thought there weren't goin' to be any sweatin' or work to be done around, but i thought wrong.

the minute i stepped into the office,it was pure maniacal.the desk was strewn with papers, and my piled up mountain high work from last week,me and my colleagues were rushing and busy planning for the weekend programmes and both urgent and non urgent stuffs that needed to be followed up but at the same time,it was good to see the crazy people at work-it's just me i guess.

and tomorrow i've to be elsewhere instead of the workplace-i gotta be at taka at orchard rd for a dull dj duty from morning all the way till late where the boys have erected a huge screen there and we've gonna show live preview of the f1 night race mania.i just hope i could go back at the end of the day without a traffic jam madness.

it's an F1 weekend, ladies and gentlemen and now we like to invite all you good people out there and please kindly switch your mobile phones to silent mode and focus your attention on the vid below.

please put your hands together for miss singapore-ris low!

leopard prints with khaki green?she can't even speak right and God knows what will happen when she's there live on tv,representing us all...Oh My!how embarassing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but let's not blame her,who were the judges who crowned her??they sure played deaf and dumb but
anyway chill out people, coz Ris Low had been found guilty of credit card fraud-read here.
and if they still wanna send this fraudster to the miss world pageant in africa this december,it's gonna be really shocking i must say.

wanna wear something rad and loud and 'Boomsssssss'???gimme a break..

My Part Of Town-Tuff Crew

It's the third day of Hari Raya and most of us here, although in the midst of joy and celebration, do feel the fatigue due to the long hours of visiting relatives and folks, and the fact that most of us don't really have sufficient rest, and in every home that we visited, there's always sweet refreshments, cakes and cookies of variety color and sizes, and mouth watering cooked food from deep fried chicken wings to nyonya laksa-yeah,what's a celebration without food right.so it's eat and eat till you drop, and if you don't,some might raised their brows' and you might offend the host.

this food galore replenished our loss fats during the fasting month, and only within days,i've already feel a slight difference to my weight, which is actually quite worrying as i've not completed my IPPT test for this year and the additional weight could contribute to complications during the 2.4km run.

and it's been raining mad dogs and cats again, and today the whole day it looked sad and gloomy and it did rain but only at certain areas of the island.

i took the opportunity of my time today, sent my scoot for servicing at the usual workshop;from noon all the way till about 4.30pm,i had to sit, squad, walk around the workshop as the trusted mechanic got his hands dirty as he split the scoot's belly and replacing the belt, engine oil, spark plugs and did a thorough performance check, which include dismantling the cords to the carburetor and cleaning it inside out.and after that lengthy butt and backbreakin' operation,i still have to come down some time next week for another, ohh and i thought it's already done-which it is,only to tweak some additional stuff to complete the entire task and boost the scoot performance to it's peak-and so he said.and as a departure fee,i've to fork out $264.00 for the service.now that's EXPENSIVE,isn't it?

one more rest day tomorrow before i go back to work on Thursday, and my hands are already itchin' to go for shooting spree- i miss taking' pictures, maybe i should go out and go crazy..if the weather is on my side,hopefully....

Eh,Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)-Lady GaGa

it's as early as nine thirty in the morning, heavy haze blanketing the skies and feeling both groggy and sickly i rode my scoot through the slow traffic towards work where upon my arrival there were already large crowds of men, women and even children assisting their parents pushing creaking trolleys, unloading boxes and laying their goodies on small 4 by 4 tables allocated to them-rushing to display and probably praying their stuffs would sell on their first day of garage sale.and already i have been eyeing some stuffs.

it's the eve of Eidulfitri.today marked the final day of us moslems fasting after a month long saga of practicing the faith and understanding the importance of devotion to God and not only abstaining oneself from eating or drinking,or indulging in intimate activity and even smoking.and finally it's too sad to leave this holy month again.

with only a day left, most of us rushing to spring clean & tidy up the house, installing fresh new curtains, new bed sheets and table spreads are a common practice as we usher into Eid.'ketupat and lepat' dumplings will be prepared along will all other delicacies and on top of that, with the Dj playing 'Hari Raya' praises and songs which it all adds up to the unique atmosphere of celebrating this Eid Mubarak.

wishing all my moslem brothers and sisters a wonderful Eid Mubarak and happy hols!
Goodbye Ramadan,Hello Syawal!
