so i'm done.over the past couple of days i'm totally glued to my lappy's screen-CNY movie marathon.the latest movies that i've done watching-

a)Defiance-starring the latest bond star daniel craig-story about Jews(Bielskis)in Belarus/Poland who fought & learnt survival in the jungle during WWII.a very good movie-recommended!



b)Seven Pounds-will smith in his latest movie-although a bit slow but worth the watch-standby your handkerchiefs...



c)The Curious Case Of Benjamin Buttons-another lengthy movie-brad pitt age backwards and also starring cate blanchett-a movie which takes one from an era to another,from places to places-and another movie quite similar to this is Forest Gump-or if not better,don't miss this one!

Work It Out-Jurassic 5

3rd day of CNY,real quiet actually-the corridors right down to the ground level-i hardly see any folks actually dress-up-goin'-visitin,nope,only yesterday i saw some of my neighbour's relatives stepping out of the house,but they are really quiet-didn't look or sound like a celebration-well gone were the days when the entire flat was rocked by running kids with their fat red ang pows falling off from their pockets,the elders playing cards or dragging those mahjong tiles,troops of people carrying bags of oranges and yes the atmosphere...it's just not here no more...maybe because most of my fellow neighbours who grew up together with me,grew out of their shells and most have left for good.i miss those days.and its sad walking down the corridor coz most of the new tenants shut their door and i hardly know their faces.i guess that's the norm nowadays...

and i feel so lazy goin back to work tomorrow...

it's rather quiet on this chinese new year's eve.i got home way earlier than expected today,and the gym training earlier this morning actually got my energy drained,had a good meal and followed by a good nap,gotta rest coz i need whatever that's left on me to focus on the derby match against everton later tonite.

tomorrow i've gotta escort the lion dance troupe around at work-and it's gonna be quite exciting watching them performing,the lions dancing and swaying to the rhythm of the shattering sound of the drum beats.the only setback-i've gotta stay around all the way till about 4pm.

this lunar new year is gonna be exceptionally special-coz we're all fortunate enough here in Sg,to witness a solar eclipse somewhere in the late afternoon tomorrow-predicted about 4.30pm onwards.

so the plan is,with hope that i could end early at work,i wanna rush to Istighfar mosque to join the eclipse prayer-since there is nowhere to go,and no other appointments planned beforehand.and it'll be sweet and even perfect if only you could join me as well.and if you're watching the eclipse,don't forget your shades!

been two days,i've been running mad,been watching my food consumption and this morning at the gym-the weighing machine brought good news-i was 79kg as of last gym's training,that was last sunday.and today,i miraculously weigh 76.8kg.now that's a drive!

minerva is going for a short holiday with her family,and i'm stuck here,still working out how the heck i'm going to spend my time during this chinese new year.i think i'm going to work my fats off...

it's been a long while since we last catch a war movie.Defiance will be released in February,starring glamorous Bond star Daniel Craig-back in the horrid WWII,a true story about a band of Jewish refugees who squeeze every bit of courage in them to fight back the Germans.

i had too much,i ate too much for the past two days.my tummy grew into ugly proportion and i swear i had difficulty tucking it in.yesterday i had dinner with minerva,a big bowl of laksa and following that a fast ride to sims drive to satisfy our durian crave.

i had goreng pisang and hot ginger tea during tea-break earlier,and was complaining about the scorching heat,made a dash to McDonald's for a strawberry milkshake.it was all good when i entered the office and my colleague handed me an envelope-the health screening report that i underwent couple of weeks back.

the not-so-good-news

like an impatient child,i tore up the envelope,so eager to see the result,but as i flipped the report inside,i almost had a heart attack-they said i'm pre-obese-one stage to being overweight-and that is truly scary,and as the letter said-i'm to lose weight and the ideal body weight for me is 68kg-and that's 10kg away.wow,how?with the crazy exercise routine-those gym trainings,midweek football sessions,swimmings and all that is still not enough,i guess i must work harder,and i promise i'll do that-even if that means no chocolate binge,no strawberry milkshakes,no andersen ice-cream,no chicken wings,no,no,no,no,no,NO!!!!and that is sure gonna be tough.help!

sneaked out from work last sunny sunday,whipping out my cam and also took great opportunity of the sunshine and the beautiful strong wind flying a kite.

its been years since me and minerva last flew a kite,and we felt good.and its not only us,stretched entire beach,from one end to the other,any open spaces,there were folks flying kites,just like us.some bought the same ones from the lil shop at the toilet,while some brought their DIY kites,while some 'wright bros wannabees',flew their huge personal 'aircrafts'.but whatever it was,the skies was filled up with colourful kites and shiny happy people on the ground.

our kite crashed into the sea couple of times,and yeah it was my idea and she was against it,but we sat there throughout anyway,at the water-breaker since most of the space were taken out by families picnic and campers.but it was worth the risk,and so i thought,since the kite cost only $2.90-but the last crash was quite severe,it went underwater but we managed to pull it out,only to find out that it couldn't fly no more-one of the stick supporting the kite was broken-but it will be fixed soon and we'll be back!!(ahh shame on those people who grumbled they couldn't play tennis due to the wind..go fly kite yo!)

Alone-Heart

its a non regular monday for me-i woke up super early rushing to the bowl just in time unleashing the agony i've tried to ignore but i couldn't.

at work today was so casual and relaxed-kickin back accompanying elder colleagues with their smoke breaks and frequent jokes and laughters.this is what every urbanites need-constant laughter-at least it takes away the stress a while,and not being serious about work and stuffs 24/7.c'mon,we really DO need it.i don't know about you but i do know some serious folks who come to work,do their work seriously with a serious face and even bringing that serious look to the canteen and break times-hey c'mon!grab that tie and strangle yourselves!of course there are times we need to be serious and times we just need to loosened up,coz i wonder if they go back home and talk about work to their spouse and kids and in their sleep as well....

the award ceremony has just ended and right after the recipients left the terrace,Prem opened the door with a glow on his face,"it's ready brothers!"

which means that we could have all the food spread on the buffet table.but before we left the room...

Guerilla Radio-Rage Against The Machine

the entire world is in a state of shock with what is happening currently ,the invasion in Gaza.and yes it's an age old conflict and the result is the poor people being victimised;who lost their loved ones and properties.and it's a sad thing that they have engaged in combat & rockets instead of resolving outstanding issues in the most diplomatic way but they must resort to violence.i can't imagine myself if i'm living there-it must be really terrifying.

May God restore peace on Palestine.

its the bloody new year all over again,but seems that everybody have forgotten their resolutions already,and its only few days back they've all sang "auld lang syne' in unison,in one voice-but my best bet most don't even have a bloody clue what the heck they sang in the first place.

and of course an average person will make and perform good resolutions,not otherwise-but don't forget about us!how about being good to your neighbours,being a considerate motorist,not being selfish in every ways possible,coz the impression i've got is really disappointing-we're not being kind to each other-and that's for real.unless its about $$$ or convenience or comfort-people will be extra nice to you-if it isn't,well you're all alone,my friend.this is the new world attitude and character we've been warned about,and it's a widespread disease.

the silly slip

it was a beautiful day yesterday until when me and minerva were about to dismount from the scoot when in a blink of an eye, felt a sudden pressure pressing against my left side of my body-OOOOOOOPPPPPSS TOO LATE.....i slipped and had not enough time to kick down the sidestand both of us tried to get down at the same time and as a result-the heavy scoot leaned on its portside and slowly slide all the way to the ground and both of us just managed to clear ourselves from any impending danger.but when we looked at each other afterwards-we were laughing our pants down...that was really dumb...and the whole world was watching us as we were by the bendemeer roadside..haha...thank God the 3 of us-minerva,myself and the scoot was alright!
