Friday I'm In Love

hell,it was raining again.

it was kinda perfect in the morning when i woke up;

sun's ray on the tree leaves,
the birds chirping in melodious harmony,
yellow butterflies dancing around the green rubbish bin,
fat folks jogging with ridiculous dreams of being slim jim..

it's all good.

and when i hopped on my scoot and head back home for lunch,
it drizzled.
then came the crazy storm on the highway.
drove me nuts.
when you are riding on the highway, and the rain hits your face,it's painful.
feels like a thousand needles poking your soft flesh with no mercy.
and it's dangerous too.those bloody trucks and evil taxis just won't be nice to your ass.
so,the best thing to do,don't ride a bike when it's raining.but i didn't.
well,i was halfway there, and i'm Sooo Soakin' Wet.
got home, satisfied my tummy and went back to work.

so at work today,we just hung back and relax.the bosses ain't around you see,
so we did our lil bit, plan about the weekends,
and ...

i decided to do a lil maintenance.
cleaned and greased up my skateboard ball bearings.
and Muradikal assisted.
another perfect day at work.
friday i'm in love.
just like that song.

it's all good.

Iron Man

i'm feeling like shit.

got a real bad flu.it started with an irritating sore throat which eventually developed into a 'factory producing glow-in-the-dark phlegms.'hingus meleleh non-stop.'
swallowed panadols, sucked lozenges, drank lotsa water, tried hard to have some sleep but i just can't.good thing i'm working in the afternoon tomorrow.now my left brain starting to send out signals-Beep.Beep.Beep.Beep.Beep.Beep.Beep.Beep.Beep.in a piercing rhythm, feels like my skull gonna rip apart any moment now.(am i sure that it signals not fire alarm?)

how i wish i could visit the doctor, plead for 2 or 3 days mc,i could recuperate at home, you know,r & r.watch tv,continue with the saved games,i could do wonders.i could be healthy and fit for work again.

but i just can't.'takmo spoil market ahh..'i just got back from my leave and what would everybody say...hmmmmmmmmmmm...(bodoh ke bodek?)

i'm feeling like shit,still.

Fools Gold

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......sigh!back to work after that wonderful trip.felt so sian.was like dragging my butt earlier today,an hour half late for meeting(it was raining pretty bad at the highway on the way to work but it was so bright and sunny when i reached workplace..not giving excuse, really!!)kept yawning every now and then, mind unfocused, everything seemed Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo s.l.o.w.

in fact i wasn't there the whole time,i was elsewhere,i was thinking so much about else things,i told myself i didn't wanna think about that trip, and so i did.but i think i need another vacation, desperately.not that i'm lazy,(hey you know that!)but that just wasn't enough.

-the slightly more important issues-

as i was lost earlier,my mind go way deep and highlighted a list of 7 things.

1-in the meeting earlier, boss reminded us to smile more at work-as far as i know i was smiling even when i'm asleep, funny, where does all this people come from?must they be told just to smile?Gimme a break...

2-my throat was really dry the whole day,but i kept drinking tea the whole time,5 cups to be exact.yeah,i should be drinking lotsa water don't you agree?especially with the current killing weather situation.

3-Ben my friend told me that 2 boys drowned at the sea near our workplace few days back.sad.me and some buddies jumped at quarries at ubin about 5 floors down before, yeah it was fun,but were too stupid to think about how close we were to death.

4-i wonder why people worry too much.i worry too much too sometimes.i worried about camouflaged traffic police with speed cams mostly.

5-i didn't have my breakfast and only had lunch almost everyday, while dinner i seldomly eat.i jog 3 or 4 times a week,i swim every wed and thur morning,i lift weights regularly as i could but still i gain weight.my weight was 76.8 kg last night.probably my clothes and shoes were a lil bit heavier.plus all those stuff in my pockets, the buttons,my cap,the dusts that settled on my hair...

6-liverpool vs psv.i gotta stay awake to watch that game.(and i have to give excuses to marlia that i've to go home early...yeah..pssst jgn pauto!!)You'll Never Walk Alone!

7-i miss dr dre's the chronic album.gotta go out and search for it tomorrow.

Bitter Sweet Symphony

Tale of three cities

Phnom Penh.Siem Reap.Ho Chi Minh.

Couple on a shoestring budget, left changi on a jet plane to super sunny cambodia on the 31st,met David(an old friend,ex-colleague working for the 'company.') at Pochentong airport.Took us on a tuk tuk ride to sisowath, help us checked to the hotel.Briefed us on what must & what nots in cambodia.his information & advice is so valuable, and without him we wouldn't have gone that far.

Phnom Penh-very hot, dirty, dusty, poverty, rundown buldings,a city probably many would avoid.but i like.we like.one of the most coolest place i've ever been.friendly folks, and even with the language barrier, they are too quick to disarm you with a smile.cheap stuffs-bargain.bargain.bargain @psar ta toumpong, psar thmei and in fact, you can even bargain for tuk tuk fare.went down to check out Toul Sleng,a school converted to a prison, where prisoners who were made up of intellectuals, foreigners, ethnic minorities during the khmer rouge regime were tortured.real spooky place.(i accidentally took a pic with 'something' behind me!)
city is undergoing mass development.still, best thing for sure,i will go back to phnom penh!

Siem Reap-6 hours back aching, butt swelling bus ride from Phnom Penh, but well worth the journey.Siem Reap is home to the amazing & mysterious Angkor wat.there were so many temples and so many things to see & even a day tour is not enough.we went there as early as 5am to catch the sunrise.and not only we witnessed a glowing sunrise,we saw a bright full moon at our backs.POWER!quite a laidback cowboy town, our hotel is quite close to pub street, where the pubs and restaurants are, quite similar to boat quay.perfect place.

Saigon aka Ho Chi Minh City-was an unplanned trip.although on a constraint budget,we gave it a shot.another around 6 hours bus ride, passing paddy fields, saw plenty of cows and motorcycles-carrying-pigs.but once disembarked from bus,how was i shocked to see the 'worst, unforgiving, heaviest traffic i've ever seen!'it's not only pollution,it's an eyesore.really.but then again,i couldn't believe that ho chi minh city is quite advance, quite similar to Kuala Lumpur.so we went down to Chu Chi tunnels, where the guerrilla forces dig tunnels 3 floors underground,we tried the AK47 at the firing range, then we went to the war museum, where all the derelicts of war which include a m14 tank, huey chopper and of course, very informative pictorial history & misery of the vietnam war.checked out ben thanh market,a good place to shop for silk and all those 'makcik -makcik' stuffs.

and now that i'm back,i feel that i'm not the same person anymore.

it's an uncomfortable truth.

for what i've seen,we're so lucky.for what i've learnt,we complained too much.

while their paddy fields are dried up due to the harsh global warming,we conveniently dump every bit of electric-cooked rice down the rubbish chute.

here we often waste our food to the waste bin, there they dig up food out of the waste bin.

even the least fortunate here are fortunate enough, the less fortunate there are struggling still.

in tattered loose filthy clothes, unkempt hair, long dirty fingernails, often barefooted, carrying a crying baby in one arm while the other begging for small change.i saw a limbless guy, crawling on the streets towards me,i can't bear to look.and i saw tuk-tuk drivers rushed to the entrance of the bus door in large groups mocking every single passengers alighting, pushing and pulling in desperation, begging them to take their ride for a mere fee,and only dispersed after being caned by the police.

it's real and it's happening.

it's a competition here,it's a survival out there.

you're so lucky.
