Under The Bridge

slipped a cd into the player,turned the volume up,tribal beats blaring from the Pioneer speakers,breaking the quiet,peaceful tuesday morning.it's 2.30am.i was clearing my room,thrown some useless stuffs into the bin,placed everything back in order again.now i'm happy.did some wiring for my vietnamese lamp,now it's perfectly hung at the corner,high up on the ceiling.

YEAH!the bloody school holidays are over.perfect.now i'm back to life.

yesterday i took an off-in-lieu break.had a good 12hrs rest.but later today,we're gonna stretch and divide ourselves,clearing all the school break mess.

it's raining heavily outside,with lightning flashing and thunder racing and vibrating the walls.it's real cold.good thing i got back early.it had already started drizzling when i was on the road right after i sent marlia home.

my latest craze.was just browsing and looking when i bumped onto this classic toy.i could wind them up and they move and rattle,wobbly and cranky but they are just how i like it.now i'm in love.the dude who sold me,told me to grab the battery operated robot which could emit smoke and it cost only $70.unbelievable.3 years back these fancy tin,friction toys could fetch to hundreds and some thousands of dollars.told him i'm gonna be back real soon.i kept thinking of the rest of the tin robots,friction space ships and fabulous astronauts.marlia wanna get the ferris wheel,and told me to put back the tin robot that i hauled together with the astronaut and space shuttle in my arms.so i did.like a child,i returned the robot into its cramped space,stars glimmering in my eyes.i'll be back,and that's for real.

Toys.Toys.Toys.

i grew up with playmobil,those plastic green soldiers,star wars and g.i.joe figurines.had to share with my elder bro then,so there were quarrels and all that.and then i had plenty of toy guns,rifles,swords,knives,handcuffs.i was always armed.even if we went out to someplace,i always bring along some of my toys to keep me occupied.and as i grew up,together with jaapa,we were busy on sundays at flea market at clarke quay(presently M.O.S),searching and bargaining for star wars exclusive figures and vehicles.we raided toy's r us and even had 'agents' working there and will inform us when new stocks arrived.we'll hangout at that comic shop at serene centre and lucky plaza to checkout latest comics and infos.i got hooked on spawn hideous figurines as well.and if you pop by,there were still plenty of toys i can't display as there were no space left and even here in pasir ris,i got problem with space.but there's room for those tin robots,yup....i'll make room.....
