No Suprises

It was a very tiring weekend i had.
started from last thursday,me and my poor crew had a backbreaking experience.
all for a mayday celebrations held at my workplace last saturday.
we had to setup gamestalls,decorate the halls,the lawn,and did 1001 last minute jobs including smashing the ministage which held other jobs that we had in mind during that particular time and forced us to work overtime due to the delay.
but it was fun.we worked together,had our precious little meals together.
we did complain a bit but it was well worth it.
hundreds flocked to the venue on the day itself,and the place was jam-packed with union families,young and old,they joined long queues to participate in the games and won themselves plush and all those stuffs,like a big happy family they enjoyed the entertainment onstage,the went to the wild wild wet,the escape theme park and had a big fun out,i guess.
we didn't had as much fun as they had;we had to report to work at 6.30am and sweat ourselves all the way to 11pm at night.
the only thing that disgust me was the atittude and horrible character of our locals.we stopped the gamestalls on time as ordered by boss,but the minute we shut it down,those who refused to leave rushed forward like raging bulls and grabbed all the toys on the tables.it was a scary thing to see so many people 'robbing' those toys and it made me feel real sick to witness those ugly singaporeans despite the courtesy campaign the goverment had spread all this while.aren't they ashamed?some even crawled under the tables,goodness,imagine that.and these people left only after i switched off the lights,and yet,lingered around still looking and asking for freebies and all that.they were totally outta control.
by the end of the saturday night,i can barely feel my toes.was really tired.we cleared everything that very night and went back.i can't sleep till about 2am.
woke up at 2pm on sunday,went back to work,did what we were told and all the daily routine.
